Group Bookings

Booking in advance is essential for groups wishing to visit Syon House. Please note that groups of over 25 will be split into two beginning their tours fifteen minutes apart.

Private guided tours are available for pre-booked groups for the House and/or gardens. Tours can be tailored to the 30 minute ‘Syon Sprint’ the 90 minute general tour, or somewhere in-between. All tours involve standing and walking.

Season Tickets

A Syon Park season ticket is a wonderful way to experience our beautiful gardens and house more often as nature’s changes unfold during Spring, Summer and Autumn.

They are valid for 12 months after purchase. However, they can only be used within our open season between March and October.

Season ticket holders receive 10% off gifts in the Visitor Centre and invitations to events throughout the season.

By Car

M4 from West
Exit junction 3, right at the roundabout and follow the signs to the A4 and London. Turn right at Gillette/Homebase traffic lights and follow signs to Syon Park.

A4 from West
Turn right at Gillette/Homebase traffic lights and follow signs to Syon Park From South West.

Left on A310 through Isleworth, on past West Middlesex Hospital, hard right into Park Road, Isleworth M4 from Central London Exit junction 2, go 1 1/4 miles on A4 to Gillette corner, left to Isleworth and Syon House.

From Kew Bridge
A315 through Brentford, left at traffic lights after Syon Lodge.

From Richmond
A316 westbound over Twickenham Bridge, second right on A310 through Isleworth, then on past West Middlesex Hospital, hard right into Park Road, Isleworth.

Parking

Car Park
The large free car park is available for those visiting Syon Park or one of the businesses on site. Parking is entirely at the owner’s risk. Syon Park will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to the vehicle or its contents.

Electric Charging
Available in the carpark at the InstaVolt Superhub. You will find 14 charging points offering speeds of up to 160kw.

From Waterloo to Kew Bridge then bus as below or London Overground to Gunnersbury then bus as below. Syon House is a walk of about 1 mile from Brentford or Syon Lane Stations.

ACCESSIBILITY

Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the building we regret that we are unable to offer access for wheelchair users or motorised scooters into Syon House

Getting Around

Syon House has stepped access (8 stone steps in total) to the Great Hall, a few stairs on the principal floor and a large staircase up to the bedrooms.

The Visitor Centre, Great Conservatory and Grounds include a variety of surfaces, including cobblestones, flagstones, grass, gravel, wood. It can be uneven and steep in places with a few steps. 

We do not have any wheelchairs available to hire/borrow.

 

Assistance Dogs

Guide, hearing and assistance dogs, including those in training are welcome at Syon. All dogs must be kept on a short lead during their visit.

If available, please bring your dog’s Assistance Dogs (UK) identification book (or the appropriate international equivalent) with you. 

 

Access Information

Disabled parking is available in the main car park.

There is an accessible toilet in the block in front of Syon House. Additional accessible toilets are located in Hillier Garden Centre next to the Courtyard Restaurant.

For disabled visitors who require the assistance of a carer, the accompanying carer can enter the House, Great Conservatory and Grounds free of charge. Carers will be asked to provide proof of carer status upon arrival.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is the House open every day?

Throughout the season the House is only open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, and the Gardens daily Wednesday to Sunday and Bank Holidays.  However, this may change depending on legislation, extreme weather, private events, and other considerations, so we reserve the right to change our opening hours at short notice.

Am I able to make a group booking in advance?

Yes, you can. Please note that it is essential that a group booking is made in advance by contacting info@syonpark.co.uk

Are there society membership discounts?

Are you part of National Trust, English Heritage?

No, however we do have partnerships with the Historic Houses Association (HHA), Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and Art Fund members.

What are the benefits for Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) members?
As we are only a partner garden only the main card holder receives the membership benefit, which is free entry into the gardens and a reduced £5 entry for the house.

What are the benefits for Historic Houses Association (HHA) members?
Free entry into the house and gardens.

What are the benefits for Art Fund members?

50% off entry into the house and gardens.

Can I take photos in the House and gardens?

Yes, you can as a reminder of your visit, but only for personal use.  There are restrictions in the house – no flash, tripods, or selfie sticks.  Syon is unable to help with personal or student projects.  For blogs and commercial photography, please see the Photography Policy for more details or contact

Are dogs allowed in Syon House and gardens?

Only assistance dogs are permitted in the House and gardens.

Can I bring a BBQ?

No fires of barbecues. Only standard picnics. Please take your rubbish home.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is a large free car park that is available for those visiting one of the businesses on the park. Parking is entirely at owners risk.  Syon Park will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to vehicle or contents. Bicycle parking racks are located outside the Garden Centre

Can I fly a drone in the park?

The use of drones, or similar small unmanned aircraft, without prior permission is strictly prohibited within Syon Park.  For more information email info@syonpark.co.uk

Can we bring scooters or bikes into the garden?

No, not in the gardens but fine in the areas outside along the main drive.

Is the House timed and are there any tours?

On Wednesdays and Thursdays we run timed tours only, but on Sundays and Bank Holidays, it is self guided, meaning you can wander at your leisure and chat to the room guides if you have any questions.
